New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer said he will not make public his testimony to the state’s Public Integrity Commission on a scandal involving his aides because of commission rules. “It’s their rules, not mine,” he said. Responded Sen. George H. Winner Jr., an Elmira Republican whose committee is also investigating the scandal, “so much for sunshine and open government.” 12/10/07)
