Nuclear Safety Administration Keeps Sleeping Contractor Evaluation Secret

The National Nuclear Security Administration is keeping evaluation reports on security contractors from the public and sugar-coating others, the Knoxville News reported. It asked for the evaluations after a guard was found sleeping on the job at a nuclear weapons plans and was told the report for the year-ended Sept. 30 was still in preparation. And the report for the prior year? It was a headquarters report marked “For Official Use Only.” Reporter Frank Munger said he had reviewed other recent, and public, NNSA contractor evaluations and was unable to find a critical note.
