The Ohio House of Representatives voted 52-44 to prohibit the release of information related to foster parents. Proponents of the the records closure said release of the names would put both theprents and the foster children at risk from abusive natural parents seeking to find their children. But one representative noted such parents now just follow their kids home from school. The bill goes to the Senate. The governor has indicated his support. (10/12/07)
