The Department of Defense, at the request of Sen. Carl Levin, has declassified the February Inspector General’s report on the “inappropriate” pre-Iraq war activities of the Office of Special Plans, led by Douglas Feith. Sen. Levin said he felt it important that the public learn why the IG had determined that the office reached “conclusions that were inconsistent” with the majority of the intelligence community. (4/5/07)
