USDA Releases Full Data on Farm Subsidy Grants

Responding to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, the USDA has released complete information on who gets farm subsidy and conservation program payments. The data includes names, addresses and amounts. Until now, the agency’s data showed only the “entity” that received the funds, in many cases corporations, cooperatives and partnerships whose owners weren’t identified. (6/9/06)
